In the world of personal growth and life coaching, Key Concepts serve as the foundation for success. Some people adopt just a few, while others practice all of them, integrating these concepts into their lives. This week, I invite you to focus on one of the most transformative concepts: attitude.
Let’s define it:
Attitude: “The perspective with which you choose to view your life and everything in it.”
Now, let’s explore how you perceive your attitude. This simple exercise will give you clarity on where you stand and what shifts you might want to make. Answer the following questions honestly, and notice what comes up:
1. From 1 to 10, how would you rate your general attitude?
Maybe you’re feeling like a solid 6 today, with room to grow. Or perhaps you’re soaring at a 9, and just need to keep that momentum going. Wherever you are, be honest with yourself.
2. Are you typically aware of your attitude throughout the day, or does it slip under the radar?
Awareness is the first step to mastery. Take a moment to reflect: how often do you stop to check in with your attitude as you go through your day?
3. How important do you believe your attitude is in achieving your goals?
Whether it’s a personal goal or a professional milestone, your attitude is your compass. It directs how you respond to challenges, how resilient you are, and how much joy you experience along the way.
4. What do you currently do to build a positive attitude?
Is there a ritual, a habit, or something in your daily routine that strengthens your attitude? If not, this might be the time to implement one.
5. What’s one thing you can do, in any moment, to give your attitude an instant boost?
It could be as simple as listening to a favorite song, taking a quick walk, or repeating an empowering affirmation. What’s your go-to for a quick reset?
6. What’s the ideal attitude you would love to embody?
Picture your best self. What does your attitude look like? How does it shape your interactions and your approach to life?
This Week’s Practice:
Each evening, I invite you to take a moment and rate your attitude for the day on a scale of 1 to 10. Notice any patterns. Did something trigger a lower rating? What activities or interactions raised it?
Final Reflection:
On the same scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your commitment to making this week work in your favor?
What steps will you take to ensure you bring your best attitude forward?
Remember, you have the power to shape your reality through your attitude. I believe in you. You’ve got this!
